Davie, FL (February 23, 2021) – On Monday afternoon, February 22, a serious car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Davie.
According to the Davie Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of southwest 136th Street and southwest 8th Street. Few details have been released but it is believed that two or more vehicles collided after entering the intersection. One of the vehicles, identified as a black sedan, sustained severe front-end damage as a result of the accident. Wreckers were present at the scene to remove damaged vehicles.
Paramedics and Fire Rescue personnel were present at the scene of the accident. One victim, who has not yet been identified, suffered from life-threatening injuries and was airlifted by medical helicopter to Broward General Hospital.
The intersection was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
According to the Davie Police Department, the accident remains under investigation at this time.
