Fort Lauderdale, FL – Eight-Vehicle Pileup on I-95 Leads to Injuries

Fort Lauderdale, FL (September 16, 2021) – Around 6:40 a.m. on Thursday morning, September 16, an eight-vehicle pileup occurred in Fort Lauderdale.

 

According to Florida Highway Patrol officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Broward Boulevard. Police believe that a vehicle was traveling in the wrong direction when it collided with one other vehicle, causing the pileup. A total of eight vehicles were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene.

 

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Several occupants inside the vehicles were injured and treated at the scene. The parties are expected to recover.
