Hialeah, FL (November 6, 2021) – On Friday, November 5, a woman was injured in a house fire in a home in Hialeah.
According to Hialeah Fire Rescue, the incident took place in a home on East 65th Street around the area of Amelia Earhart Park. Police confirmed that multiple calls came in when the home started to fill up with smoke and fire. Fire crews found that a woman who was dependent on oxygen was inside the home at the time.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The oxygen-dependent woman was rescued from the home by fire crews. When she was found, she was struggling to breathe. She was treated outside her home for injuries.
The area was blocked off for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
