Immokalee, FL – Man Killed in Bicycle Accident on Lincoln Blvd

Immokalee, FL (December 25, 2021) – At 8 p.m. on Friday night, December 24, a man was killed in a fatal bicycle accident in Immokalee.

 

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Lincoln Boulevard around the area of Lake Trafford Road. The unidentified bicyclist was traveling in the area when he started to ride through the intersection and was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The 20-year-old driver in the passenger vehicle remained at the scene.

 

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The bicyclist, identified only as a man from Chile, was traumatically injured in the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for some time. This led to delays in the area until police cleared the scene.
