Miramar, FL (September 28, 2021) – On Monday night, September 27, a plane crash occurred near a roadway in Miramar that injured two people.
According to Miramar Police, the accident happened near the area of Palm Avenue around the area of the Miramar Parkway. A single-engine Cessna started coming down when it struck a pole and numerous trees. The plane initially took off from a Naples airport and was supposed to hit a Hollywood airport an hour later. However, it crashed before making it to its destination.
Two ambulances and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. Two women were on the plane at the time and were seriously injured. The parties, identified as Gopika Sreekumar and Ravi Urmila, were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Officials blocked the area for an extended period of time so that they could remove the plane from the crash site.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
