Plantation, FL (December 17, 2021) – At 5 p.m. on the evening of Friday, December 17, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Plantation.
According to Broward County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of University Drive and Sunrise Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other after entering the intersection. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
