Plantation, FL – Car Accident on I-595 Near Broward Blvd Leads to Injuries

Plantation, FL (August 11, 2021) – At 7:12 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, August 11, a car accident with injuries occurred in Plantation.

 

According to Broward County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-595 around the area of Broward Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages as a result.

 

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.

 

Due to the severity of the crash, a portion of the roadway was blocked for a period of time.

 

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
