Davie, FL (January 7, 2022) – Around 9:30 p.m. on the night of Thursday, January 6, a fatal dirt bike accident occurred at an intersection in Davie.
Davie Police Department officials confirmed that the accident happened at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Southwest 10th Court. A 17-year-old boy was riding a dirt bike in the area when his dirt bike was struck by a Toyota Corolla. At the time of the crash, the Toyota was making a turn onto 10th Court. The driver of the Toyota stopped and remained at the scene until officials arrived.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The teen was seriously injured and rushed to a nearby hospital. He was tragically pronounced dead while there.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the intersection was blocked for an extended period of time.
