Deerfield Beach, FL – Hit-and-Run Crash at SW 10th St & S Dixie Hwy

Deerfield Beach, FL (November 17, 2021) – At 12:40 a.m. on Wednesday morning, November 17, a hit-and-run crash occurred at an intersection in Deerfield Beach.

 

According to Broward County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Southwest 10th Street and South Dixie Highway. A 45-year-old man identified as Eric Meyer was driving his Jeep Wrangler in the area when he suddenly collided with the back of a gray Toyota Camry. The vehicles were both traveling east near the intersection at the same time. Meyer then fled the scene of the crash.

 

Three people inside the Camry were injured in the accident. The parties were identified as a man, a woman, and a baby. The parties were all hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.

 

Police eventually found Meyer at his home in Deerfield Beach. He has since been charged with failing to stop at the scene of a serious accident, reckless driving, tampering with evidence, and more.
