Miami, FL (November 16, 2021) – On Tuesday morning, November 16, a fatal bicycle crash occurred at an intersection in Miami.
According to police, the accident happened at 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Northwest 14th Avenue and North River Drive. A woman between the ages of 30 and 40 was riding her bicycle in the area when she was suddenly struck by a driver in a semi-truck. The truck was pulling out of a loading dock at the time.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The bicyclist was severely injured in the accident. She was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was temporarily blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
