Fort Lauderdale, FL (December 20, 2021) - On Monday morning, December 20, an apartment fire broke out in an apartment building near a Fort Lauderdale intersection.
According to Fort Lauderdale officials, the fire broke out in an apartment building at Northeast Third Avenue and Fourth Street. The fire broke out in one unit and fire crews were able to keep the fire contained to that unit. Police discovered that there were people inside the unit at the time that the fire started to break out.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Two people, who have not yet been identified, were hurt as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
The area was blocked off for some time following the fire. Fire crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control.
