Miami Beach, FL (October 2, 2021) – At 4 a.m. on Saturday morning, October 2, a fatal crash occurred at an intersection in Miami Beach.
According to Miami Beach Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Alton Road and 63rd Street. Two people were riding along in a vehicle when the driver suddenly lost control. The vehicle was left with extensive damages. Tow trucks had to remove the damaged vehicle from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The male driver and the female passenger were both rushed to Ryder Trauma Center for treatment of their injuries. The female, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The male is expected to recover but had multiple surgeries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
