Miami, FL (July 24, 2021) – On Saturday afternoon, July 24, an officer was injured in a car crash at an intersection in Miami.
According to Miami Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Northwest 7th Street and 11th Avenue. A Miami police officer was in his vehicle when his cruiser was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle traveling in the area. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The officer was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center with head injuries. His current condition is not yet known.
It is not known if the driver will be facing any charges for his role in the collision.
