Miramar, FL – Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on SW 18th St

Miramar, FL (March 2, 2021) – Around 6 a.m. on Saturday morning, February 27, a woman was killed in a pedestrian accident in Miramar.

 

According to officials, the accident took place on Southwest 18th Street when a 30-year-old driver was turning east and pulling out of the Pembroke Pines apartments. The driver struck a pedestrian who was walking in the parking lot at the time. The pedestrian became trapped underneath the driver’s Ford Mustang.

 

Paramedics and fire crews were present at the scene. The unidentified female pedestrian was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital but succumbed to her injuries while there.

 

The driver remained at the scene and has been cooperating with the police.

 

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
