N Miami Beach, FL – Teen Injured in Pedestrian Crash on NE Miami Gardens Dr

North Miami Beach, FL (November 21, 2021) – At 7:30 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, November 20, a teen was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on North Miami Beach.

 

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Northeast Miami Gardens Drive around the area of 10th Avenue. A 17-year-old boy was trying to cross the street near 10th Avenue when he was suddenly struck by a gold Hyundai that was traveling west. The driver fled the scene without stopping.

 

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help the pedestrian. The teen was transported to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital where he has been listed in stable condition and is expected to fully recover.

 

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for some time.

 

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
