Miami, FL – Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Biscayne Blvd

Miami, FL (November 22, 2021) – On Sunday night, November 21, a man was injured in a pedestrian accident on a roadway in Miami.

 

According to Miami Police, the accident happened on Biscayne Boulevard around the area of Northeast 24th Street and Northeast 25th Street. A man got inside an Uber and was headed southbound. Suddenly, he saw an elderly man quickly crossing the street. The Uber driver was unable to stop in time, striking the man.

 

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The 70-year-old elderly man was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with bleeding to his head and other injuries. His current condition is not yet known.

 

The windshield of the Uber was cracked due to the accident and had to be towed from the scene. Police confirmed that the driver was not hurt and stayed at the scene.

 

The roadway was completely blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
