Sunrise, FL (October 28, 2021) – At 5:39 p.m. on Wednesday evening, October 27, an injury accident occurred at an intersection in Sunrise.
According to Broward County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of University Drive and Oakland Park Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of traffic when they entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
