Hollywood, FL (August 20, 2021) – At 5:48 p.m. on the evening of Friday, August 20, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Hollywood.
According to Broward County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Sheridan Street. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
