Hollywood, FL (August 7, 2021) – At 5:55 p.m. on the evening of Friday, August 7, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Hollywood.
According to Broward County Sheriff’s deputies, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Sheridan Street. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Four left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
