Oakland Park, FL (August 8, 2021) – At 3:58 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, August 8, a car accident with injuries occurred in Oakland Park.
According to Broward County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Commercial Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the southbound lanes of the highway when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Four right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police cleared the scene within hours.
