Tamarac, FL (August 6, 2021) – Around 7 a.m. on Friday morning, August 6, a bicycle accident occurred in Tamarac.
According to Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies, the accident happened at the intersection of West Commercial Boulevard and Banyan Lane. A man was riding his bicycle in the area when he was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle. Police confirmed that the driver did not remain at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The unidentified victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Police did not say if they found the driver responsible for the accident. The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
