Miami, FL (January 24, 2022) – Two people were injured in a hit-and-run accident that took place at an intersection in Miami on Monday morning, January 24.
According to Miami Police, the accident happened around 11:50 a.m. at the intersection of Northwest 11th Avenue and Third Street. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with one another. The individuals inside one of the vehicles fled the scene on foot.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two people inside the vehicle that remained at the scene were injured in the collision. They were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries. One is in serious condition and the other is in critical condition.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
