Pompano Beach, FL – Three Deputies Injured in Car Crash on S Dixie Hwy

Pompano Beach, FL (January 23, 2022) – Three deputies sustained injuries in a serious car crash that took place on a major roadway in Pompano Beach on Saturday, January 22.

 

According to Broward County deputies, the accident happened at 800 South Dixie Highway. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. One of the vehicles has since been identified as an unmarked patrol vehicle. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.

 

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. All three deputies from inside the police cruiser were injured in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment. 

 

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
