Tamarac, FL (November 23, 2021) – At 6:36 p.m. on the evening of Monday, November 22, a truck accident occurred on a highway in Tamarac.
According to Broward County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of Floridas Turnpike around the area of exit 62, Commercial Boulevard. A truck was traveling in the area when, for reasons that are not yet known, it collided with one or more passenger vehicles in the area. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in all lanes until police fully cleared the scene.
