Miami, FL (January 18, 2022) – Two people were seriously injured in a truck accident that took place near an intersection in Miami on Monday night, January 17.
According to officials, the accident happened at 11 p.m. at the intersection of Southwest Eighth Street and Fourth Avenue. Miami Police confirmed that a driver was traveling along in a Yellow Lamborghini when, for reasons that are not yet known, it collided with the back of a tractor-trailer. The vehicle was pushed under the back of the truck and became stuck. This caused extensive damages to the involved vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver was able to get out on their own but the passenger had to be extricated by fire crews. The two were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center for treatment of their injuries. They are expected to recover from their injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked at the intersection until police cleared the scene.
